Happy fall everyone!  I thought I'd take some time today and explain a little bit about my process.  Below is my original acrylic painting, Pretty Bird:




This painting was painted directly on to canvas board.  Canvas board is my favorite surface to work on because of the stiffness of the panel.  It also is less absorbent than canvas which I like because I do a lot of washes. The artwork below here is a hand embellished print layered with resin, acrylic paint and glitter.

I find making these prints very valuable because it allows me to experiment with medium without fear of destroying the original.  Im left with neat little reproductions that look like original pieces because they are so richly textured.  And I can sell them for a fraction of the originals!
